Dementia Awareness

Understanding. Supporting. Caring.

Reducing Stigma, Promoting Compassion

Dementia is more than memory loss—it is a progressive condition that affects thinking, behavior, and the ability to perform everyday activities. Through our Dementia Awareness initiative, we aim to educate families, caregivers, and communities about early signs, compassionate care, and the importance of timely support.

By increasing awareness, we reduce stigma, promote early intervention, and foster a more understanding and inclusive society for individuals living with dementia.

What is Dementia?

Dementia is a collective term used to describe symptoms affecting memory, communication, reasoning, and daily functioning. It is not a normal part of aging.

Common forms include:

  • Alzheimer’s disease
  • Vascular dementia
  • Lewy body dementia
  • Frontotemporal dementia

Early recognition can significantly improve the quality of life through proper care and support.

Early Warning Signs

  • Memory loss affecting daily life
  • Difficulty completing familiar tasks
  • Confusion with time or place
  • Changes in mood or personality
  • Difficulty finding words or following conversations
  • Misplacing items frequently

Prompt medical guidance is essential if these signs are observed.
